What is the situation regarding radiation and laptops (MacBook) and should I worry? Can I get cancer? I am on my laptop 3-4 hrs a day, maybe more (for work).
Its one of those things that are up for debate. I think of my aunt who lived near towers and had a tumor cut out of her arm. And a state cop that had ball cancer from the speed gun he kept on his lap during work.
I think that EMF ratings should be tagged right on the product. Find the rating of your product and pick based on that. I think Mac makes one that is really low. (i think its called air? Not sure)
Her husband never got sick but he did have to take his migrane meds much more living there. It was such a shame too because they were not there when the bought the house. I think thats messed up they can just plop a tower or a road through your house/property..but ugh..thats another thread.

That would be nice but it's better to buy a EMF detector so you can scan anywhere you live and work.

The problem EMF comes from the WIFI. If you don't use WIFI and you have it turned off you won't have a problem.
If you intend to use WIFI then DON"T place the laptop on your legs to use it, other then that, you should be fine.
I don't know about laptops but they are going to start being required to put warning sign/lable on cellphones alerting to the possibility for brain cancer.
