I worry about this a lot, as I had a cat scan performed in my teens, and I worry a lot about the radiation dose I received, and wonder if there is a connection between that and the many breast problems I now have (I suspect there is a connection).
I also worry about the many chest x-rays I had at the same time.
Now I am very aware of the amounts of radiation involved in medical imaging tests. Doctors are very casual about the radiation risk, and most don't seem to know how much radiation is given to the patient from such tests as cat scans.
I am also aware of the radiation risk from flying, but the biggest risk is coast to coast flying. The last time I took a cross-country flight, I thought about how much radiation I was getting from that flight.
I have done lots of research on this, and it is a very worrying concept.
