It's winter here, not very strong sun at all. I used 55 SPF Aveeno lotion, topped with 15 SPF makeup and was out in the sun for an hour and ended up with a burnt nose.

Does anybody know of a noncomedogenic (sp?) sunscreen that works on noses that burn really easy? Summer's not that far off and I don't want to have a red nose all summer again.

You have to apply it right. It has to be put on 20-30 minutes before going out. Vitamin E naturally protects the skin. You could try using that. Just pop a gel cap with a pin.

A good guide on what to look for:
American Melanoma Foundation > Facts About Sunscreen

You will see that all sunscreens are not created equal.
I personally dont really burn even though I am very pale. So I cant tell you a product other than the vitamin E which I have used and not reacted to.

Thanks for the helpful link. I think I'll post over in the beauty section, maybe that's where this question belongs.

Wear a hat....

Sun reflected off snow can be very strong. I always wear a hat during the day + sunscreen.

I can do that in the winter, but in the summer I get too hot with anything on my head. I do carry a parasol in the summer and I still burn.
