Ok so here's the situation a few days before thanksgiving my daughter noticed that she was starting to have stomach pains after eating anything, she only realized lately that it was after she had taken a trip to NY city that this all started, anyway its getting worse but if she eats anything her stomach starts to hurt most times it as soon as the food hits the stomach, sometimes hours after, sometimes nausea comes with it, once she didn't have the food in her stomach for 5 min and she threw it up, that was the only time she got sick, she tells me the stools are normal but will not have a bowel movement for 3 days, but that's pretty normal for her, her primary DR had blood drawn, she anemic & tested positive for Epstein Barr. We've cut out all dairy for a week, no change, tried gluten free a few days, no change. the only thing that doesn't bother her is liquids, soups ect. she can actually eat salads and stuff like that and be ok for a little while but hours later she will have pain. we are going to a specialist once her insurance approves the Dr but in the meantime anyone have any suggestions? She is so depressed she just wants to eat without pain.
Try baby food. I'm not kidding, I'm serious. Have her try to eat only things that have been pureed. My sister had a bad problem with her esophagus and stomach, and they had her eating baby food after surgery to help with recovery.
I hope the insurance approves the doctor soon - or at least comes up with a doctor that they -do- approve who can take your daughter ASAP.
I'm so sorry she has this problem and hope she can have a fast diagnosis. Unfortunately, that may not happen. If it is related to some sort of auto-immune difficulty, it present problems in finding the cause. Tests, tests, tests. For many ailments there are no tests. Maybe there is a simple solution. I hope so, but it can be the precursor of a more complicated situation.

Yeah, I had to go on a liquid diet for about a month, but it helped.
It sounds like gallstones... did they test for that? I had them at 16.
