Don't want to change subject of thread... yes, the pain from a tightened IT band made me totally contorted. thank God for my chiro. Yes, stretch it out.

Thanks for all the pointers you guys!

Here's a quick update.
So---
I was given Prednisone 60mg for 5 days.
It's called a "Prednisone Burst"
Now---I had taken lower dose Prednisone 2 weeks before--it worked---but it wore off and the sciatica made it's way down to my leg.
Couldn't stand for more than a few min--horrible.
Well...
After day 1 of 60mg Prednisone I was at about 70% better.
Day 2--80% better
Day 3--100% better.
Today will be day 4--and I fell purdy good so far.
I was able to go to the gym 5 times over the last 9 days--
I took it super easy
Of course I numbers were waaaay down-- about 60% down-but I did my lifts.
Not today...today I felt really good.
I love drugs!

I've not read all the posts and perhaps I replied before, but when my pain from lupus was so bad, prednisone stopped the pain within 5 days. There are trade-offs. I took prednisone for years and now have osteoporosis.
