Does anybody here have an idea how much it will cost to ship my girl friend truck from KAPOLEI,HI to COLUMBUS,OH.. ? I would be glad to have an idea how much it will cost before making any move..I would appreciate a simple reply guys....

Have you tried calling a shipping company? Between Hawaii and the mainland there are only three different carriers: Matson, Pasha and Horizon. Everyone else who "ships" cars rents space on those three shippers to do it.

I know from Long Beach, CA it cost around $1200 on Pasha. Not sure how much it would cost to get your car the west cost.

Agreed. When I asked Matson and Pasha for quotes I got them back the next day.

Off hand, I'd guess something in the area of $1,800 - $2,000... $1,100 to the west coast is the standard tariff right now, the rest for trucking to a major city in Ohio.

You have to ask yourself if it is really worth the expense. Typically you can sell a good condition vehicle for more here than it is worth on the mainland, then upgrade to something better there. Coming the other way the equation reverses. Assuming it is not a junker, you can often realize more increase in value bringing a vehicle to the islands than it costs to ship it.
