Just moved to the area and I'm looking for a good Vet for my 3 dogs. Primarily looking for good services and good prices of course, but my wife and I board our pets over the weekends A LOT. So.....boarding and the newness/cleanliness of the facility is very important to us along with having adequate space.

Thanks for any recomendations!!

We lived in Williamsburg and drove to Gloucester and used the Gloucester vet for our boarding. We loved them and used them for 7 years!

Armistead animal hospital is good. We drive from VAB to Hampton just to see them.

Kiln Creek Animal Care in Newport News. We have been going there for 15 years.

I would also recommend St. Francis in Williamsburg for boarding, or Pet Resort at Greensprings, also in Williamsburg.

Another vote for Kiln Creek Animal Care. I don't use them for boarding though. I use Wagging Tails Academy and Inn in Hampton - WELCOME (http://waggingtailsacademyandinn.com/Home_Page.html - broken link) -They are a bit pricey, but they are cage free and because my dog has medical issues it is really the best choice for her.

Default Looking for a low cost vet any suggestions

I am looking to get my cat fixed and up to date on shots. I don't have lots of money so I was hoping someone could suggest a low cost vet, in or near Newport News,VA. I have been getting quotes between $275- $400! Is this really the going rate?! No wonder people aren't taking their animals to the vets. If you know of a small practice or really reasonable vet I would love your input!

I'm sure you have already gotten this info, but call PETA in Norfolk to schedule an appt for your pet, its $45.00 for the procedure, you met them at certain places and times all through the year, or go to there wed site, it has all the forms and price lists for things need, good luck
