Hey guys I am new to this board. I am looking for swimming lessons for my 6 months old baby boy. Do you know where I can get them here in Virginia Beach? Thanks in advance!!!

Well, of course their is the YMCA or the JCC. I know that at the YMCA, you do not need to be a member to enroll in swim class lessons. Also, their sessions are just about to begin. There is a Y on Laskin Rd and also by Mt. Trashmore. I am not sure how many other places have parent/child lessons. Once he is older, I would suggest calling one of the swimming clubs in town- they may offer lessons at their pool or put you in contact with kids (teens) who offer private lessons.

You can check with the City Recreational Centers. They have indoor pools, young kids, youth and adult activities. Go to the www.vbgov.com at the top there is a drop down menu, choose Parks and Recreation. There is a link for Pool information.

Yep, the Rec centers all have parent/baby classes. They are by far the most affordable option.

Va. Beach Rec. Centers. That is where my son learned as a little fella. Affordable and the staff was great.
