I'm looking for any reccommendations or opinions anyone has on a good teacher for the guitar. I've had my guitar for a year now and got frustrated many months ago with trying to learn on my own. It's an electric and I'd prefer to play music in the rock genre. Thank you.

Your best bet is to contact a local music store. Alot of teachers like to put up business cards and such.

Thanks Erma, I was going to pursue that route, also open to any referrals with someone who has experience, if there is anyone out there.

I've seen ads for this place around Ego Music - Music Lessons in Your Home! Call Us Today at 757.563.9001

it's located in Virginia Beach at the Red Mill Commons shopping center.

Good luck!

EGO music does a great job!! My son took piano from a teacher from EGO and it was the best experience. He has just asked for a break for now. The owner of EGO is a guitar teacher and we do the recital every year and I am impressed with guitar players. Give them a call!!!
