Portsmouth is a great place to live in Hampton Roads.
It's an easy drive to the Military bases (and the Coast Guard Station is very close)
My husband and I are empty nesters. He is retiring and because he works for the city, can't retire here and continue to work, so we're selling our house and moving out of state. (the ONLY reason I would ever consider selling this house!)
We have 3 bedrooms and a finished room over the garage (FROG) that could be another bedroom or an office, a kids playroom or a great teen hangout, or simply storage space.
The kitchen is huge as is the living room and the master bedroom. The other two bedrooms are very nicely sized. (We use one as a computer room and still have plenty of room for our two kids to visit with the grandchildren
The real star of the house for us is our beautiful screened porch and the huge deck that we built in the backyard. We love the outdoors and have made a lovely park-like backyard with birdfeeders, houses and birdbath so we can watch them. We entertain out there all the time and just love it. This house is a real steal at $239,900 - we've priced it aggressively so we don't have to be apart too long!
