They stopped making the shampoo I am using, it's a color depositing shampoo and I can't find another one that deposits color. What do you guys think is the best shampoo for color treated hair???

hmm..I use Color Assure from Nexxus, but it does not deposit color and i'm not that thrilled with it helping hold my color (red and blond). Now I need one since I'm in a pool a couple times a week and will be much more this summer. So it's weird I was going to start googling about shampoo for color and chlorine.

Be careful with some of the color deposit shampoos. Sometimes they can rub off on your clothes.

Look under the Hair Care, separate forum, I'm sure this has been addressed.

What's the name of the kind you were using?

I've been using either Pantene or Tresemme for the last 6 years now (for brunette hair). And they seem to work just fine on mine and never fade the color either. I've never had problems with these brands. They are in brown bottles and will say For Brunettes on the label.

It's Colorist Collection by Loreal and works better than anything I've ever used. I do use the Pantene conditioner for burnetts. I'm hoping to find another color depositing shampoo.

Go to sally beauty supply. They have Beautiful Browns--it smells like chocolate! The shampoo works really well.

But if you don't have a good color job in the first place, none of them will help.

I have been very happy with L'Oreal Color Vive protecting my color - many years.
