Any advice on how to proceed at this hearing?
Glad to hear they didn't just give you your gun back. I have yet to hear you take any responsibility for creating this whole drama. You'll probably get your gun back after a well deserved stern lecture from the judge. As someone else said, I bet you'll think twice before pulling an extremely stupid stunt like this again. It really causes one to question whether you have the judgement to own or carry a lethal weapon. If you are sane, as you keep saying, what you did was incredibly stupid and insensitive. On the other hand, if you were truly distraught, the state is being appropriately cautious about putting a lethal weapon back in your hands.

So now you're seeing the results of your little attention seeking scare on your family and you don't like it. Maybe you'll think before playing Chicken Little again?

Perhaps you aren't yet mature enough to own a gun?

10AM....in the MORNING? As opposed to 10AM in the evening?

I had my hearing and heard back from the Judge within a week. He reinstated my pistol permit. The moral of the story is, never say things you don't mean, because they may be taken seriously and will have serious repurcussions.

First step is to provide us with enough information so we don't have to guess what you are talking about.

Oh, and find a lawyer.

People running around threatening to kill themselves SHOULD have their guns takes. These "suicidal" people are the ones who always kill a bunch of others first.
