Hi!

I am looking into the Spartanburg area, and I wanted to see what the younger, in their 20's, trendy, and fun type area to live in would be for young people? Any thoughts, suggestions, apartments, etc would be appreciated so much! Thanks again!

I recommend you can contact some of the folks at Hub Bub, a creative arts community in downtown Spartanburg. Hub Bub is brimming with bright young people and I'm sure they can enlighten you on fun places to live.

Spartanburg really isn't big enough for someone to say "this is the trendy neighborhood where lots of young professionals live" like you could say about places like Atlanta or even Charlotte. Downtown is growing with more bars, restaurants, and gathering spots for the younger scene opening in Morgan Square and the newly emerging "Grain District". As far as living in those areas--not a whole lot of options, but there is one place called "Palmetto Lofts" which would probably be the "trendiest" place to live for young professional renters to live downtown. There are some downtown condos like Library Commons as well but I think they are owner-occupied. I guess you could consider Hampton Heights a trendy historic neighborhood where young families who want to live close to downtown live. Some folks living in that neighborhood are interested in the Hub-Bub that was mentioned above and the "alternative arts scene" (I guess one would call it) if that is your thing. But many young professionals just live in some nicer apartment complexes outside of the city. Some you may want to look at are The Haven in Boiling Springs, The Haven at River Falls in Duncan, Autumn Park, Villas at Lawson Creek, the new River Run community on Reidville Rd. These are all nicer communities where I know several young professional types that live.

I hope this begins to help.
