I would like to take Mom out for Mother's Day and get her and myself a new hair style/cut....any recommendations? I am open to any areas in and around Greenville, but not too far.

There are a few places that offer day spa/salon packages, and I believe I've seen mother/daughter packages advertised. A couple that I know of:

Welcome

6.99 for a haircut at Great Clips at Greenridge. You can't beat that.

Happy Mother's Day.

I got the best haircut in my life from Myra at Identity Salon at the corner of McDaniel and McBee. I was bummed that she was out of town the weekend before I moved. When I am in the area again, you can bet I will make an appt. with her to get my hair done.

Amanda at Envious Styles at intersection of E. North St. and Haywood Road. Very good and also reasonable!

At a friend's recommendation, I had been going to Jan Roop at Focus Point on Cleveland Street, at the corner of University Ridge, for nearly 2 years. She's not very convenient to where I live, so I tried someone else a few weeks ago. I'm going straight back to Jan from now on. She's given me the best, consistent cuts I've ever had, and she's an excellent colorist.

I don't get my hair cut or dyed often (once every few years, besides that, I trim it myself). So when I do, I don't mind spending a little extra to know it'll get done right. So, I go to Wisteria on Woodruff Road and ask for a "flourishing" or "master" talent.

Sometimes the reception staff seems slightly pretentious to me, but that might just be me being self-conscious. Hey, at least they bring me tea, lol.

Sorry about quoting myself, but I just realized I made a typo - it's Focal Point - 271-7511.

Thanks! What is a "flourishing" or "master" talent?
