If its really good I don't think $ 10 is to bad of a price point. It's that or over at many of these crappy corporate casual dining chains that are around.

This place in downtown Nashville is on my to-do list when I visit there next month...
Hattie B’s Chicken - Midtown

The chicken at Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack is about $1.25 more for the plates.

Somehow that $1.25 seems to be the difference between reasonable and overpriced for me. The $9.50 price point for a family of 4 with each person getting a drink (those are somehow around $2 at most places) with tax is going to be just under $50. The extra $1.25 pushes it over $50 and makes it a bit harder to justify for what is a slightly nicer fast food option. It seems odd that a copycat version of Nashville hot chicken would be 10-15% more expensive than the real thing.

Apparently there is also a Hattie B's Chicken location in Atlanta, which may be a bit closer to visit. I think I will venture there next time I visit ATL. Looks good.

Both Atlanta and Nashville have excellent reviews on Yelp. We can't go wrong.

So I tried it. They are supposed to be using the same recipe, but I don't think it tastes the same. Also, they only have their chicken tender bbq sauce, so that is a disappointment. I need someone else to try it chime in.

I’ve been to both Nashville and Atlanta ones. Very good food.
