Haggen's acquired many Albertson's stores when Albertson's acquired Safeway. Haggen's closed many of its acquired stores within six months to a year. Albertson's acquired the remaining assets of Haggen's.

Apparently not.

The Greenville Journal said February or March a couple months back, but I haven't been able to find anything more recent than that. I'll walk by there this afternoon and will see if there's any sign of life.

Looks like Basil is still a very long way off:

No one was working on it when my wife and I walked by a few minutes ago, and all the lights were off. One of the doors looked as if it had been propped open slightly, so I guess I could've poked my head in if I were really motivated. From what I could see from the outside, the place is kind of a wreck. I'd be astonished if it opened this month.

Default Burlington Coat Factory in Anderson

Saw a sign while in Anderson today that Burlington Coat Factory was coming to the Kmart Plaza next to Publix.
