What's going in the old Arby's on Haywood Road? Also, Augusta Grill for old Stax Grill space.
I wish they would convert it to Roy Rogers like they have recently done in Virginia and Maryland with huge success. Roy Rogers has a superior roast beef sandwich, as well as burgers and famous fried chicken. And they are currently seeking new franchise partners for expansion as they recover from the failed Hardeeś merger.
East Coast Wings and Grill is excellent. Great burger and their fried pickles are fantastic
I tried East Coast Wings and Grill on Friday and it was really bad. Kids chicken strips were so overcooked the kids didn't want them. The wings were tough and the sauce wasn't very good. The fries were OK though. Won't be going back as their wings definitely weren't good enough to warrant another trip. I got 5 different flavors of wings and all were bad.
i'd still like to see a nice, dark divey bar closer to the main beat downtown. Something in between the pure dive of Radio Room and the publick house of Velo Fellow, with a focus on good music that isn't the run of the mill top 40 or classic rock you hear most other places. Small variety of bargain beer with a smattering of nice craft beers on tap (probably local breweries) and a few signature cocktails. Velo Fellow is the closest we have to this right off main street anywhere, but I'd love to see another.
