Hi! I'm Mimi. I have been staying up-to-date with this forum for the past few months and have gained so much valuable info. I really appreciate all the advice I have received just by following others. So this is my first thread! I visited Greenville in March for the first time and just loved it. I am a Buckeye looking to move to a warmer, safer area. My daughter had me look in Summerville, but I don't like what may lurk in the marshes. I checked out Aiken. It would have been okay for me, but my daughter and her family want to relocate, too. She didn't like the isolation there. She has in-laws in Greenville, so we spent a couple of nights there, and I was very impressed. Anyway, I am 55, divorced, and a retired teacher. My daughter likes the Verdmont subdivision. She and her husband were there again over the weekend. She thought the Garden District Apt homes looked nice for me. I'm thinking I might come down and rent first to get a feel for the area. Any advice on a safe place for me since I would be relocating before my family gets to the area? Also, I will be wanting to buy a condo or townhome in a year or so if things work out. Any leads on nice ones would be great. I don't like wooded areas because of my fear of snakes! Thanks!

Garden District Apts are very nice, fairly new (about a year or so) and in a great location in Simpsonville, right off I-385, close to shopping and restaurants. Other to apt communities to look into:
**Lexington Place
**Jasmine Cove
Best of luck!
