I am thinking of moving to an area centrally located between Greenville and Spartanburg (perhaps Greer). I am currently employed but I was just curious about the IT job market in the area. I mainly deal with hardware and install networks and servers. Thanks.

It's hard to say really. I would look for work before moving. Do you live near here or in a different state?

We live here now and my husband is in the IT field and is registered with 4 different agencies that place in the IT industry. We have been here a month on Sunday so no hits as of yet but it still is early. As far as getting a job before you get here, didn't work for us because the companies would want people that are already here in the area locally. Most employers use agencies to find people and here is a few. The companies that he registered with are TekSystems IT Staffing and IT Recruiting Services from TEKsystems, MDI Group Welcome to MDI, Apple One AppleOne employment agency | find better job | advance career | search resumes! Good Luck
Thanks for the information everyone. I would be keeping my same job since I travel all over North and South Carolina installing computer systems. I am checking out Greenville due to the availability of more affordable housing in the area.
