I'll mention to steer clear of Food Lion's.. I wasn't impressed by it.

Ingles.. Not bad. You don't really get the crunch that you do with Publix, but.. It's not bad.

I like that Harris Teeter has the baked option in the 8 piece as well. I just got some last night and it was on sale for 6.99 I believe. Can hardly buy it and go to the trouble to bake it yourself for that.

rotisserie chicken from harris teeter at plantation circle in charleston was always fresh and decently priced;
stopped by a harris teeter in downtown greenville like a week ago and bought some rotisserie chicken but it's stalled.

not sure where else to go in gvl to buy fresh rotisserie chicken.

I don’t understand the appeal of dealing with Woodruff Rd., the crazy parking lot (cars and people), the crowds and the selection of merchandise and groceries. The prices are not that good to have to deal with the craziness of a Costco.

Yes. Costco here is a madhouse. I don't get the appeal either.

Every local major supermarket chain has in-house cooked rotisserie chicken now (Ingles, Food Lion, HT , Lowes Foods and even Walmart) I have purchased it at Fresh Market too. I prefer the individual 8 piece baked that HT offers (and sometimes Publix) over the whole rotisserie chicken. No slicing or mess. Its best to check the time it was prepared. They often write it on the container You don't want chicken that has been drying out under a heat lamp for more than a few hours.

I went back and read this whole thread from the beginning. Interesting to see what happened to places and the outcomes of people's predictions over the last 11 years.
