Regarding schools, crime, convenience, entertainment, quality of life stuff. I know a little bit about Greenville, and I am trying to learn more about other areas as alternates.
^ I personally dont goto Taylors... been there like 3 times my entire life of living in Greenville (20+ years). Just seems like nothing important is there for me.
I think I drive through it when going to Greer for like 3 blocks of street ? LOL
I'd take Greenville over the outlying area myself. I hate suburbs and I hate rural stuff. I guess it's because I grew op in isolated, remote places with little infrastructure or interaction.
There are parts of Mauldin, Greer, and Simpsonville that are VERY close to everything in Greenville. For Mauldin, the Butler Rd. area. For Greer, Pelham at 85, Batesville Rd, the Parkway. For Simpsonville, the Five Forks area. Mauldin, Greer, and Simpsonville also have areas that are further out and more "country" feeling, but you can definitely still live in areas of those cities where you are very near, if not in the middle of, all the good stuff Greenville has to offer.
