I've never been to North Carolina but I'm interested in UNC at Greensboro. So I don't really know what is in the area or if it's a good place to go to school. So for anyone who lives there or goes to UNCG: what are some businesses, malls, restaurants in the area (what is there to do)? what hospitals are nearby (i'm looking at a nursing major)? is UNCG a good school for a nursing major?
anything at all would be great.

Reason: typo
There are many, many hospitals in this region. The Wake Forest Baptist system in particular, as well as Novant and Moses Cone systems are notable, but there are smaller organizations and independent facilities, too. UNCG has an excellent nursing program. With the exception of UNC and Duke, it's likely the best in the state, and a great value (although I've been impressed by stats and feedback about UNC-Charlotte, as well).
The School of Nursing at UNC-G is well known to be very good and highly respected. U.S. News recently ranked it #72 among all nursing programs in the U.S.
There are a couple of shopping areas near campus...Tate St. is a cool spot with a handful of shops, bars and restaurants, some spilling over onto Mendenhall St. and Spring Garden St. Walker Avenue is another nearby street with bars and restaurants.
West Market St. has a few restaurants and bars plus Friendly Center - a huge open-air shopping area. Elm St. downtown has a good number of bars and restaurants as well. Four Seasons Town Center is not far away on High Point Rd.

Agree. I had few nursing major friends while I was there and they always mentioned UNC-G having one of the best programs in the country.
Nice pics btw, looks like alot has changed at Friendly since I left 6 yrs ago. I have very fond memories of Greensboro and miss it very much...someone get a smoothie from the Juice Shop for me, lol.
Good Luck!
