Yes, it is a wild crazy quilt of local options. In my county, they are convinced that all hell will break loose if a bottle of zinfandel for Sunday dinner is sold in the supermarket before noon, but case after case of hard stuff can be loaded into waitihg cars at 11 oclock Saturday night in full conformity with divine judgment. 46 of Texas' counties are completely dry.
I lived in texas when i was a kid and do remember private clubs in dry countys and dry county..some thing never change lol
I was reading all the diffrent state laws on abortion[wich i dont agree with]They are diffrent in every state on how a child can go in and have it done!Such as who can sign for the procedure...Some states allow the child to do so on there own while others let a grandparent or one parent! Why is this not a federal law instead of a state law? Is it because the president dont want the pressure?I was amazed at the fact its legal in most states and all differ a little or a lot! A touchy thing to talk about i guess,But i think the laws should be federal after reading up a little....Does most agree with abortion and how its done?
Yes but I don't think it will happen so the decision of abortion should be stripped from the supreme court and given to the states so we can save lives immediately.
I think Roe V Wade should stand, but if a state/county doesn't want a clinic to perform abortions, they shouldn't have to. Women could go to different counties/states to get it done if they want. Saying that, I am for elective abortion for the most part, with certain restrictions put on. Banning abortion or making it illegal will not stop women from getting them, it will just cause them to have them under unsafe circumstances.

So you're against the Republican stance on abortion?
What most Republicans want is for Roe V Wade to be overturned. This would allow states to make whatever law they want concerning abortion. Some states, no doubt, will allow for anyone to get an abortion. It might be a state right next to yours.
Personally, I have no problem with abortion. I think minors should be able to get an abortion, as long as their parents know about it, even if the parents don't want the girl to get an abortion. Its her body, her choice, even if she is a minor. The parents should just be aware that their child is sexually active.
On a simple political base though, I think as little government intervention as possible is the right move. States shouldn't even be allowed to tell a person what they can and can't do with their body. If you don't like abortion, don't get one yourself, but try not to judge others for what they are doing. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

If, for arguments sake, you concede the right of a woman to choose to have an abortion, then how can a state or county refuse that woman's right?
This isn't like alcohol, getting drunk isn't a right.
Or does a state or county get to deny you your other rights as well, like free speech or practice of religion or private ownership of firearms?
