For the best schools, you need to go to Columbus. It has excellent public and private schools. Columbus is also closure to LaGrange than Peachtree City. I know you mentioned elementary schools, but Columbus is home to GA's best public high school just about every year.

Public:

1) Columbus High - voted #1 or #2 best public high school in the state
every year

2) Midland Elementary School - excellent school

Private:

1) Brookstone School - K4 through 12th grade. Top private school but
very expensive

2) Pacelli Catholic - K4 through 12th. Good school but kind of expensive

I would figure Columbus would have a bigger asian population than Peachtree City just for the fact the Columbus is a lot bigger in population. Then again, PC is part of metro Atlanta. Columbus was voted the #4 best city in the country to raise kids. Schools are good. It's a great place for families.
