Jackson County is home of what could be the worst police in the state.

1. Arcade
2. Commerce
3. Pendergrass
4. Jefferson
5. Maysville.
6. Braselton

Drive through this small cities anytime and you will find them either stopping someone or parked looking for someone to stop. I have met hundreds of people who have been stopped for some pretexual reason.
All they are out there for is to generate revenue for their towns.

Default You're right!!

Everyone knows about the Jackson County traffic Nazis. The JCSD seems to be pretty good.
By far the worst county in the state

Arcade has for years been known to be a speed trap.

They are not bad, just following orders from the local beaucrats.
Jackson County is speed trap heaven and revenue generators for the towns.
With the way the Jackson County Commission has handed out development permits like water to every Tom, Dick, and Harry, to slap a home or strip mall in place without providing one ounce of direction on building the road, water, sewer, etc., infrastructure to support it, the poor Police Officers are now the water boys of revenue to the drones who run the government.

Don't blame law enforcement, just have the Jackson citizens vote in some common sense.

You left out Hoschton. Yes, I remember seeing police there waiting all the time. IIRC, Jackson county is going through lots of growth as an exurb of metro Atlanta, so big changes are headed that way ...

Yeah, I was driving south on I-85 a few months ago and two Braselton cruisers were sitting in the median watching southbound traffic. I saw them way up ahead and was in the left lane doing the 70 mph speed limit, so I just continued on past them. One of them gunned his engine and pulled out behind me and followed me for a couple of miles. I pulled to the right lane and he pulled in right behind me. Eventually, he passed me and actually pulled over the guy in left lane next to me, who also appeared to be doing the speed limit. It certainly looked like a fishing expedition to me.

I disagree, Peachtree City are the worst. Several cases where they went into homes without warrants, pulled guns on citizens without due cause, ect...

Default Some are bad

The revenue generating speed traps are bad enough, but what I'm talking about are pretexual stops. Tag lights out are a big one. They like to use weaving and many other reasons to pull a vehicle over just to see what else they can find.
You can't be servant and friend of the people and harrass honest law abiding citizens at the same time.
I agree that the JCSO seems to be doing a good job.

these police officers are only doing their job. People around really don't know how to drive. Haven't you noticed how fast they are going. That is why there are so many accidents. People are crashing and killing their family going so fast and trying to hurry and get somewhere.if they would just slow down it would save lives even their own family members especially their children they lost because they were in a hurry. So lighten up on the cops. Do your part. Slow down
