Banks County is rural and if you don't like farming stay away. People in Banks have no clue what the 21st Century is all about. God help Banks County when the county seat has a population of 1100 and county population of 19000 and there is not even an auto parts store in the entire county!! Homer is past dying, it's dead and has been for 50 years. Buildings delapidated, run down, sorely in need of a can of paint and the ONLY growth is from tax paying penny tax that the county uses to build fancy government offices trying to keep up with the likes of Gwinnett and Hall. Backward county officials whose only goal in life is to frequent the local resturants in Commerce a neighboring city, and to sit on boards that do nothing but draw a salary. This community never left the 18th century and refuses to even think about it. The county has been discussing for 40 years about developing an intersection on I-85 by installing sewer. Today this intersection is the ONLY intersection with absolutly no development and sits directly between Greenville SC and Atlanta. There is absolutly no grocery store in the entire county of 19000 people other than a small Wal-mart in Commerce that serves 5 counties so you know the shelves remain empty. Banks County should be dissolved and split into the surrounding counties, there is no reason for their existance other than to embarrass the state of Georgia.

5 posts of negative spatting about Banks county and North Georgia. Wow, you have zero credibility if you can't even give a counter to your this place sucks attitude.
Why did you move from Phoenix to (of all places) Homer anyway? Perhaps it is time to move again.
