hard to say whats most unique....probably reno.."the biggest littlest city in the world"
Agree that Lake Tahoe is incredibly beautiful but it really isn't a city per se. Others have pointed out Santa Barbara & I would strongly agree. Came across these photos on another thread: Santa Barbara Pictures - California stock photos, fine art prints by QTL. Also Laguna Beach though it isn't a large city: Laguna Beach Pictures - California stock photos, fine art prints by QTL And Santa Monica as well: Santa Monica Pictures - California stock photos, fine art prints by QTL

San Antonio still seems uninteresting, not unique to me, as well as one of my last favorite cities. Sorry.

Any orderly city with lots of green and without rotting homes full of graffiti and trash on the streets tends to be more or less beautiful. Dubuque seem nice

New York City is absolutely unique. Nowhere else in America can rival NY's enormous energy, its vast jungle of tall buildings, and its amazing history dating back to the birth of America and before.. Washington DC is also a unique experience, not a typical "grid" city--not too many ugly grid-like highrises and condos trying to be passed off as "architecture" and its streets also form a wagon wheel. SanFrancisco also feels unique. No place else in America offers that perfect blend of high density, high vibrancy, awesome food, and consistently decent weather like San Fran.

What would your favorite cites be and why ?
