I'm definitely not certain but I'd say that the West Coast is closer to the Australian landscape. So, Trimac20, you'd probably like this area more than the Mid-West or N'East, South, and Southwest.

In terms of lifestyle/culture anywhere in America would be different enough, but I think the Northeast, particularly New England or Upstate New York, is just really scenic and lovely and I would try to live there if I could.
