I thought this would be an interesting thread, to go along with the other threads..
Tells us what your city you are in (or near) and what are the radio presets in your car.
I'm located just east of Raleigh, NC and can pick up Raleigh-Durham stations and several in eastern NC; Here are my presets, although I mostly listen to my Ipod now
1. 97.5 WQOK (Raleigh)
2. 92.1 WRSV (Rocky Mt/Eastern NC)
3. 93.3 WERO (Eastern NC)
4. 95.5 WPWZ (Rocky Mt/Eastern NC)
5. 105.1 WDCG (Raleigh)
6. 101.1 WZTK (Burlington, although I only listen to this when I'm actually in Raleigh, since the signal is weak in my area)
I live in ABQ and although I listen mostly to Sirius, I have Fm stations on Preset as well as a few AM.
Fm:
93.3 KKOB (ABQ) -Pop
95.1 (ABQ) - RnB
97.3 KKSS (ABQ) - Urban/RnB and Hip Hop
92.3 KRST (ABQ) - Country
107.9 (ABQ) - COuntry
AM:
770 KOB - Listen to this station mainly for Lobo (University of New Mexico) sports. This signal is so strong its been said that it can be heard all the way in Wyoming and sometimes in Los Angeles.
As far as the FM channels, they are all ABQ stations. If you've ever been to the West, you know that there is HUGE masses of land between major cities (or at least in New Mexico).
I live in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA, about two hours northwest of New York City, and even though I am a slave to my XM satellite radio system, I still do occasionally listen to my pre-sets.
I live in Jersey City, NJ. It's in the NYC media market. And looking at my list below, all of the radio stations are based in NYC or immediate vicinity, except one (NJ 101.5)
FM Presets
1. 97.1 WQHT - NYC Hot 97 (hip-hop)
2. 105.1 WWPR - NYC Power 105 (hip hop)
3. 107.5 WBLS - NYC (r&b and classic soul)
4. 103.5 KTU - Lake Success, LI- The Beat of New York. (pop & dance music)
5. 87.7 Pulse87 - Somewhere in Queens (dance/house/etc)
6. 100.3 - NYC - Z100 (top 40)
7. 95.5 WPLJ - NYC (modern rock/alt)
8. 93.9 WNYC - NYC (NPR)
9. 101.5 - Trenton, NJ (NJ 101.5 Jersey news, traffic, talk)
10. 88.1 This is the dummy frequency I use for my iPod FM transmitter. AM Presets (all NYC-based)

2. 880 WCBS news
3. 1050 ESPN Radio
4. 820 WNYC AM (NPR)
5. 660 WFAN (for all my Mets games) or 710 WOR HD (for Rutgers football). Depends on the season

Since the radio pretty much sucks in Indianapolis, I think I only have a couple of fm presets that I actually use:
FM:
1) x103 rock/alt-rock
2) 93.1 WIBC newsradio
3) z99.5 WZPL pop
4) freedom 95.9 talk radio - only for Dave Ramsey
AM:
1) espn 1070 the fan - sports talk radio
2) XL950 - sports talk radio
3) 1260 wnde - sports talk radio
4) 1430 - talk radio
AM/FM Radio sucks everywhere in the US. It's all about satellite. I listen to classical and NPR on radio, and nothing else. Top 40 stations are GARBAGE!! It's all corporate-owned...ugh...
