What's wrong with Virginia?

Illinois Jacquet was a jazz musician in the 50s. Illinois was his real moddle name.

I'd just go by "West" or "Westy" (assuming I didn't resent my parents enough to pick a nickname totally unrelated). Not so much now, but in a prior era you could say you were named after Kanye West and it'd be kinda cool.

Georgia and Virginia are already too ordinary & common.
I have a great great grandmother whose middle name is Missouri.

"Reno was a nameless girl, a geographic memory..." - 88 Lines about 44 Women

I don't mind Montana as a strong feminine name. I'd choose that for my daughter before Virginia or Dakota.

Saskatchewan is a pretty badass masculine name.

I love my home state, but if I met someone named Michigan, I couldn't help thinking of a dancing frog.

Virginia and Georgia used to be common women's names.

There were guys named Tex but I never heard of a guy actually named Texas.
