If you Could match a city(International or National acceptable) with a song, what would the song be?
I'm cerious, because of certain song... I always think of certain cities...
Heres some I think, some songs really stand out in my mind.
Here are some I think of:

Los Angeles- Ritmo de la Noche (Mystic)
Paris- City of Blinding Lights (U2) (due to the Devil wears Prada :P)
City of Blinding lights reminds me of various cities like- NYC, Chicago, LA, Seattle, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and San Francisco.
and Thats all I can think of now...and YES i know City of blinding lights is about New York but still... never specifically said so
Opinions?
nothing is stupid in this thread, you can DISAGREE, but Music is all opinion, so no one has ground for calling some else's Idea stupid.
You can mention as many or as little cities as you please.

Might be obvious. Garth Brooks-Baton Rouge, for what else, Baton Rouge.
Although I love hearing "Louisiana Saturday Night" - Alabama - in LSU's Tiger Stadium before the football games.

I think "La Vie Boehme" from RENT fits San Francisco pretty well.

^SWB -- good one.

OK this is fun, I got a bunch. Most are pretty obvious some a little less so. I tried to give the artist as well but some have been recorded so many times (e.g. Sweet Home Chicago) I just gave the original composer. NYC and LA were hard cuz there are so many...

Boston -- Dirty Water (The Standells)
NYC -- Stayin' Alive (Bee Gees); 99 Problems (Jay-Z)
Brooklyn -- No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn (Beastie Boys)
Philly -- Gonna Fly Now (Theme from Rocky)
Baltimore -- Star Spangled Banner (Francis Scott Key)
Atlanta -- What You Know (T.I.)
Miami -- Conga (Gloria Estefan)
Houston -- The Long Run (Eagles)
Austin -- Pride & Joy (Stevie Ray Vaughn)
Chicago -- Sweet Home Chicago (Robert Johnson); Saturday In The Park (Chicago)
Detroit -- R E S P E C T (Aretha Franklin)
Minneapolis -- Purple Rain (Prince)
Los Angeles -- LA Woman (Doors); To Live & Die in LA (Tupac Shakur)
San Francisco -- We Built This City (Jefferson Starship) -- I like SF, but I absolutely HATE the song.
Seattle -- Purple Haze (Jimmy Hendrix)

International
London -- London Calling (The Clash)
Tokyo -- Godzilla (Blue Oyster Cult); Woman From Tokyo (Deep Purple)
