The reason marijuana use is associated with juvenile slackers is because juvenile slackers are the only marijuana users who find it something to constantly and overtly proclaim.
Two avid marijuana smokers:
1. Wears a hat emblazoned with a pot leaf; says. "dude, whaaaat?" a lot; eats fast food multiple times a week; reads High Times.
2. Dresses 'business casual'; says, "Honey, I'm going to pick up some milk at the store." a lot; cooks from scratch in her SS kitchen with granite countertops multiple times a week; reads actual books.
They both inhale smoke into their lungs on a daily basis. That can't be good.

Ok, so let us know when you want to wage a war and imprison cigarette and cigar smokers; after all they smoke a substance far more harmful for a person than cannabis.

Nobody who is a dedicated consumer smokes it raw. Guess you haven't heard of vaporizing. That's what savvy cannabis consumers use now.
A 2007 study by University of California, San Francisco, published in the Journal of the American Academy of Neurology, found that "there was virtually no exposure to harmful combustion products using the vaporizing device."
You look at a city with symptoms ie, lethargy ,unemployment, dull personalities, quiet semi unresponsive
personas ,dippy dudes and gals and occasionally very talkative followed by brain dead. Why these
symptoms? (thanks for assskkingg man the joints are gradually remodelling the brains pathways albeit neurons. The chronic veggies as I refer to them are driving 50 in a 65 on I 95 ...swell.
Pretty much the entire West Coast (save some of the inland areas of California), Alaska, Colorado, and Vermont would probably have the most ganja smokers in the US.
addendum: it's kinda funny when we've had "cities with the strongest drinking culture" discussions, peoples' responses weren't "Anywhere with the highest amount of car crashes, date rape, screaming morons, vomit in the streets, etc".

Yeah. Hemp seems to draw out that vestigial, puritanical impulse in our cultural DNA to condemn others. Imagine if vegans took every frikkin opportunity to unleash self-righteous tangents about beef consumption and its effects on climate change.
I like smoking weed and I've been a top-level suit-wearing exec for most of my working life. I don't really care for alcohol, though I like a good beer/wine/scotch occasionally. Don't smoke cigs. Don't pop any pills, not into coke or any hard drugs. Little tea for caffeine and that's about it. I'm in my early 40s and I'm retiring this year. I can't stop laughing at these dimbulbs who can barely form complete sentences bagging on people who like to vape every once in a while
The answer, as some have mentioned, is that people do this in every town, in every county, in every other household (or whatever it is) in America. Culturally, look for especially liberal college towns (Boulder/Madison and so on) I guess...though all large cities have neighborhoods (Riverwest/Bay View in Milwaukee for example) that qualify. Hell, the other weekend my lady and I were hiking out in the middle of nowhere (SW WI drifteless) and a dude came up on a 4-wheeler to talk - the land bordering was his - and gave me a bunch of buds. Then he instructed us how to go on his private land to a secret remote spot on top of a huge bluff where there are natural rock "chairs" to sit and look out over the valleys on either side. You could tell that this had been a family weed hangout for generations. He said I'd never have better (not true) and that it super mellow (true!) and that he'd been growing for over 30 years (probably true!). Just looked like your typical farmer. Weed is everywhere, so weed culture is as well.
