I am currently attending a university in Florida and I am looking into cities to move to after college. First things first, I hate my current location. It's not the people here in FL but the weather, the crime, the bugs and the lifestyle/culture. I cannot take the humidity anymore. I long for the rainy days (I was born in the US to American parents but spent my formative years in Wales, UK, which is very dreary!). I also hate the bugs in Florida, when I leave my windows open at night so my dorm doesn't become a sauna I wake up to an assortment of bugs, which freaks me out as an arachnophobe.

Therefore, I want to move to any city that is out of Florida.

To break it down what I want is:
- Cool climate. No humidity but no snow (hate the snow as much!).
- Very few bugs. I can't take being bitten by mosquitoes walking between classes much longer.
- Low crime rate. I spent my 3rd year living in a house share on the edge of one of the ghetto areas NEVER AGAIN.
- Good music scene. I am very musical and like attending gigs (mainly indie rock, alternative, electronic, emo).
- A sports team would be a plus. I am into sports, so a city with a major sports team would be a plus, I don't care what as long as its an NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA or MLS team
- I am an agnostic, leaning towards atheism. NO BIBLE BELT.
- I am a bit of a loner, nerd who likes to keep a small circle of friends but hates overly friendly people in the public. I want to go about my business without being stopped every block and asked menial questions by well-meaning folk who I politely have to brush off
- I am single, so a city with a high female:male ratio is a plus but not a necessity.
- P.S. my degree is in humanities.

Suggestions?

You're clearly describing Seattle.

I would have suggested Portland but what major sports team do they have? I can't think of any at the top of my head.

Yes, Seattle.

I did think Seattle, and I think I subconsciously want to go there, but I'd like other suggestions I'd like 3 options I was considering Seattle, Portland and Vancouver (Canada) or possibly Minneapolis (but it snows there a lot, so I don't think I could handle that!)

Yes, Seattle.
The Trailblazers (NBA) and they also have an MLS team I believe.

Definitely the Pacific Northwest.

Seattle, as others have said. My second pick would have been Portland.
