Does your boxwood stink? (cats, cats, patio)

On another thread today, I read that some kinds of boxwood smell like cat pee. This was an epiphany for me, since I think my patio area smells like cat pee and there are no cats peeing around here. There are, however, what I think are boxwoods lining the patio area.
Here's the thing though, when I break off a twig, crush it and smell it, it smells fine.
Does anyone know anything about this?
