Hi My husband just lost his 2nd job this year and we have been wanting to move to Texas to be closer to family and to get out of the heat. We want grass, trees, and seasons. We are thinking about moving to Bridgeport or maybe Weatherford. We will have to move without a job lined up. Will it be hard to find a full time job there? What are the main jobs in that area? We have a 1 year old and 4 year old, so we need a good family area and great schools. We are moving from Chandler, AZ. Its a great place for kids but we really want a little more country. Any advice is great thanks.

we relocated 4 months ago for my job. My husband gave up his job when we moved. He found a job with a .com company in four weeks. He had 5 interviews with 5 different companies. I have been told numerous times that TX has not been hit as hard by the economy. They are still building new homes here which is promising. Goos luck. BTW almost all the schools are amazing.

Hi. The job market has been down a little over the past few months with the turn in the economy. However, I have had several friends recently find employment after being laid off a few months ago. I think that things are starting to turn around. Has your husband starting applying for jobs online? That would be a good idea before you make the move and might help him find out what the market is like for jobs in his industry. Good luck, and let me know if I can do anything to help!

I would HIGHLY suggest Weatherford or Aledo -- they are both west of Ft. Worth. Excellent schools and small town and very family oriented. Housing prices are GREAT. You get a lot of bang for the buck. Villages of Aledo are nice and priced just right. Both towns have full range of middle class affordability and very expensive homes. Lots of trees also. What kind of business/work is your husband looking for?
