I will be visiting for my birthday in October and staying in Fort Myers Beach. I was wondering if there was any transit from the airport to this area, besides the obvious taxis, renting a car. Thanks for the help.

Doubtful there's not a lot of public transit in SWFL other than some buses that m sure don't go to FMB (could be wrong though) .. This isn't a big city and it was fought for a long long time to even allow buses in the area (at least in Naples and they had to be painted like trollys to blend in)

There should be a bus that comes to the airport....then takes you to a spot where you can get the bus to the trolley (Summerlin Square I believe) then the trolley takes you to FT. Myers beach. Check LeeTran site.
