Hi Everyone,

I just had a quick question. Please no negative replies...this is important to me.

I'm a 36 year old woman with ADD. My current doctor does not believe that an adult should take regular ADD medicine like Ritalin or Addrerall. I understand that they can be addictive and dangerous but I also know that I'm not functioning well and it needs to change.

I don't have insurance so I can't go "doctor shopping".

Can somebody please suggest to me a doctor who I can see who MAY BE willing to prescribe these types of medication if they believe it is the right form of treatment?

Please no lectures about the dangers here. I really wish my brain functioned clearly like other people. Unfortunately it does not and I just want to feel better.

Thanks everyone :-)

Not exactly looking for the same thing as the original poster, but I am search of a good doctor, pediatrician, and dentist. These can be separate practices or all in one practices.

Some criteria is that I am physically disabled and want a doctor who isn't set in his ways and has a bedside manner. My doctors office in my old state was wonderful and open minded. Race, sex, age, sexual preference, and whatever else one could think of do not matter to me. I'm not in search of an MM card either. I just want my doctor to be someone I can come to and trust. I am also open to seeing a Nurse Practitioner who practices in a doctor's office. Similar to the OP, except we do have medical.

For my daughters, I need a pediatrician, hopefully a practice that has both Spanish and English speaking doctors.

For a dentist I'm more concerned about my kids. We went to Small Smiles in my old state (which they have here but it's in Greeley). Is there anything comparable closer?

I'm looking for personal experiences as I find them to be more reliable than just opening a book and picking a name. You can PM me the info if you'd like.

Thanks!
