What do you think of the car coming back in the states? From what I've read (which isn't much), it has been ranked very well in England for the last few years. I checked out the vehicle a bit on Fordvehicles.com, its kinda a cool small sedan. I can't stand the the word Fiesta for a vehicle...probably my biggest drawback is the name. How do you think the vehicle will run and will it sell well?
'coming back' is a misleading term. that's like saying the 04-06 GTO was a 'comeback'. there's really no relation between this car and the one that used to be sold here years ago (and please, don't confuse it for the Festiva).
i, for one, am really excited about it. like the Focus was when it first came here, it will be an exciting addition to Ford's lineup with some Euro flare. i just hope Ford learned their lesson from the Focus and keeps giving us whatever Europe gets. of course, i also wish i could fit, but that's another story entirely.
Only thing that worries is a first year car always has issues. I've always said I wouldn't buy a first year model since they usually don't get it right til the 3rd year.
I agree the Fiesta name is kinda stupid, but who cares? Some of my fave cars on earth have lame names (ie Integra, Miata, etc). But the Fiesta is a solid little car, HUGELY popular in Europe, where even many have taken the Fiesta and turned them into fire-breathing monsters. And sooner or later, the Fiesta is going to replace the Focus in the WRC. Its a great little car.
