Taurus police cars... does this mean a new Robocop movie is on the horizon?

Yeah, lets have the cops waste more gas, while going slower, while sliding around in inclement weather. Real great choice while pursuing criminals.

Your pure, unadulterated hatred for all things Ford is astounding.

Frankly, I think Ford should have a new RWD platform for their full-size cars. This platform can also be the basis for their police offering. Isn't the new Caprice RWD? I don't know how the FWD Taurus will fare against the Caprice for police duty.

I think all three cars chasing the contracts are impressive
The Ford Taurus/Chevrolet Caprice/Dodge Charger are light
years ahead of the old Crown Vics. Cops have never had it
so good. Personally I would chose the RWD V8 Caprice/Chargers
for the warmer states (Longevity). Then chose the Taurus
for anywhere that gets a lot of snow (AWD)

The Charger is by far the best looking one.

I happen to care about it, and so does just about every single cop I know.

Wow, that is a bit disturbing to me.

All I care about my fire vehicles is that they work properly and carry out the mission. Styling does not get the job done.

Why? 95% of the people in America care deeply how their car looks. Why would a cop feel any differently than his patrol car?

The answer to your question is in the portion of my post that you left out of the quote.
