Steak n shake came into the area I was living in a few years ago. And it has been a mystery to me not only how they stay in business, but how they have the cash to expand.
I've only ever dined in, no drive-through. The food has always been lousy. Generally it's a good idea to give a place a 2nd try if the first time doesn't pan out, but I've given them 4 or 5 tries with different menu items and been disappointed each time.
While I agree it is a bit silly how large restaurant portions have become in some places. I've always had the reverse feeling in S&S. "What? Is this it?"
