Has anyone ever fixed or eaten eggs with gravy? It sounds good, but I find the recipes a little odd and they don't look very tasty, but the concept seems good. Any suggestions or comments?

Well, I like biscuit with gravy and scrambled eggs. Also Loco Moco, which is Fried egg and brown gravy over hamberger patty served over rice, it's a Hawaiian dish. So, yeah, I can see egg would be good with gravy.

I'd put cream gravy over or with eggs any time. That's what goes with biscuits, and putting an over-easy egg on top of a nice pile of biscuits and gravy sounds mighty good to me. It would be a perfect preparation for a long, cold morning of sledding or snow-ball fights (or shoveling the driveway, but the other options would be more fun).

I'm not too sure about the gravy, but they're wonderful when you smother them in green chili....

I'll eat packing pellets if they're smothered in gravy, so why not eggs?

It's possible, especially if it's scrambled eggs and cream gravy, and especially if there's a chicken-fried steak lying right next to it.

And sometimes the gravy hits the eggs by accident.

Growing up mother would fix egg gravy a lot of times to feed our family when dad's work or clients paying was slow. Scramble up some eggs in your iron skillet then put some butter and a bit of grease, add flour to make your roux like for sausage gravy then start pouring your milk in. Be sure to use extra salt and pepper or it will be bland and could taste like paste. Pour that gravy over your biscuits and have at it baby! We lapped that stuff up with bread too if she didn't make biscuits.

Chinese Egg Foo Yung is a omelet with gravy on it. I have done it with leftover roast beef gravy with a dash of soy sauce.. It's a very good way to use up a small amount of any sort of meat gravy.

Sausage gravy, biscuits, scrambled eggs, and some hashbrowns with onions on top...all smothered in the gravy....or english muffin breakfast pizzas with gravy, scrambled eggs, diced tomato, green or red peppers, onion, even mushrooms, and some grated cheese baked until hot, bubbly and cheese melted...can freeze and reheat in microwave or oven...
