Tonight: Dinner at Saltgrass in Lewisville, TX, with fried shrimp (cocktail sauce), fresh salad, broccoli topped with melted cheese, and Lone Star beer.
We just got back from a 3 day camping trip. I made BBQ brisket, chicken and sausage for the camping trip so we stopped and had a BBQ sandwich by the banks of the river on the way home. For supper, we weren't really that hungry so I boiled some shrimp and made a salad and it was just right!
Grilled pork loin chops topped with cranberry mustard chili sauce, corn on cob and a salad.
It is supposed to be 78 today.

Tonight we are having crispy honey shrimp over dan-dan noodles, bok choy with garlic and oyster sauce and a bottle or two of Veuve for the three of us and beer for the guys.
DH has his second vaccine shot today at 5:00 so we took some gumbo out of the freezer to have when we get home. I'll make some garlic toast and possibly a salad depending on how late we get back and how hungry we are.
I have to ask..... how many hours a day do you spend cooking? Is it you that cooks or an SO or both?
I am fascinated with your meals, they look great, all homemade, large variety of cuisines...
Spill it dude.
Anyway...
Shrimp salad (didn't have it last time I posted), variety of greens from the garden, green onions, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, mushrooms and beets with mine. I like the traditional dressing so I got to make that, DH is doing champagne dressing (Girard's).
Sugar free banana pudding, cool whip and bananas, strawberries and blueberries.
You are a riot! That was a simple less of a meal that I should have mentioned but for some reason I did.
We both love really good food and that is why I learned to cook. Most nights, I do all of the chopping and prep work and set everything up and the wife, Cindy will usually start cooking everything and I will jump in at the end to set the table, plate the food, etc. when we use the grill, which is very often, I do all of the grilling.
Tonight we will be having spicy wings from the Genius Foods that are cooked using coconut oil. That’s her thing, she will do all of the spices and cooking while I cut up and separated the wings from the drumsticks. It’s a great tasting and healthy way to eat wings and I love them. I chopped the broccoli and the garlic, God knows we eat enough garlic.
It’s ironic since one dish that takes hours would be my Italian Stuffed Artichokes which I love and it seems not many people here appreciate those, or a good Korean dish! I’ll get more comments on a grilled steak than an elaborate entree. I guess everyone has their own take on food.
I will post a photo later but it’s not a big deal at all if you love good food.
Did I spill the beans❓
