I love the cotton candy grapes too. I don't even really like cotton candy, but the grapes by that name are amazing!

I would eat them all the time, but the sugar content is too high for me.

Half a cup = 14g of sugar. Which isn't much different than what you'd get from an apple or orange - but for whatever reason, grapes always seem sweeter to me.

I haven't seen either the cotton candy or the moon drop grapes, but I don't typically purchase them (grapes) so maybe that's why. I do pick up champagne grapes at Trader Joe's when they are in season like once a year or so, and sprinkle them in my cottage cheese for breakfast. I'll see if I can find these around here, I'm always game to try new foods.

I believe they have less fiber. I have to watch my blood sugar, so I choose where my sugar comes from carefully. That applies to the chocolate souffle I had the other night..... it was worth it.

Moderation.

You're right - looks like grapes are mostly sugar and no fiber to speak of:

Cotton candy grapes, 0.5c: 1g fiber, 14g sugar
Large navel orange, 4g fiber, 17g sugar
Medium honey crisp apple, 3g fiber, 14g sugar
Canteloupe, 1.0c: 2g fiber, 14g sugar
