Ugh. Today, we expected delivery of a new refrigerator for the kitchen, and a new freezer in the garage. Both old ones were still working, but the fridge was humming, and a scratch and dent number when we bought the house 7 years ago. The freezer was not frost free and we’d bought it used 20+ years ago. So, we emptied them both and eagerly awaited delivery.

The garage upright freezer was fine, so that’s good, but the refrigerator had a dent in the front, so back it went. Folks, is there no quality control? The refrigerator was un crated after it left the truck. How come someone didn’t inspect it before it was crated? Sigh. So, we put everything back into the old one and await a call to see how long it will take for a new one.

Sooo, what is for dinner is a jar of Mid’s sauce, dumped over a pound of spaghetti.

the gran's are tired of turkey so

Grilled some ribeye's and some burgers, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, garlic bread, and brownie pie with ice cream.

Everyone goes home tomorrow and the diet begins until Christmas.

Home from a day of traveling to a fairly empty larder.

I found corn dogs and tangerines.

Last night I made eggs over easy, bannock bread, roasted green beans and cashew milk.

Tonight will be scrambled potatoes, chickpeas, and roasted veggies (yellow squash, bell pepper, onion, carrots).

made a yellow squash, chorizo, black bean casserole with the sausage & squash that needed to be cooked up before it went to the dark side.

Today I'll make a turkey pot pie with most of the rest of the leftovers, and do a soup to finish the bird up.
