Went out to eat last night for the first time in a long while. Another first was it was a nonvegetarian meal out at a restaurant for the first time in seven years. I had wood fired oven roasted walleye, grilled vegetables, and mashed potatoes. Was really delicious.
We are having roasted chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes and sauteed beet greens. Unfortunately The Pats/Steelers game is right in the middle of our usual dinner time. Might have to break my dinner has to be eaten in the dining room rule.

Last night was pot roast, rice pilaf, and baby peas.
Tonight is a vegetable smorgasbord as I continue on my Katzen kick. A trio of recipes from the Moosewood cookbook (a half batch each): Marinated Mushrooms, Roasted Green Beans (with slivered almonds), and Marinated Sweet Potatoes & Broccoli. Think I will serve it all with biscuits.
I've had a busy week, baking eight dozen cookies for the church bake sale, and 3 dozen for us, shopping, cleaning and finishing an online class. I'm beat.
