I already cooked for lunch today:

Meatballs, creamsauce, potatoes

Will go to a friend's birthday party tonight where we will have some nice things from the grill.

Already looking forward to that.

I just took a wonderful cake out of the oven. The dough was made with oil and quark and it has a sourcream/poppy seed/peach topping. Delicious.

I think I'll pull the alfredo sauce out of the freezer and have pasta tonight for my last night cooking. Next week I'll be spoiled and get grandma's cooking.

I think it helped that I used a really old pan, I think it was my Grandma's. Her baking pans work so much better than any of the new ones I have bought. I need to call her and see if she has any more squirrelled away that she is not using and have her ship them to me. If she doesn't I am going to have to hit the antique stores and look for some.

Moving......I have to agree about the pans......I think through the years they become seasoned. I have had some of the same pans for over 30 years. Certain ones make a great grilled cheese some make other things better. I too am fussy like that...if I can't get the right pan, I don't make it.

I saw beautiful egg plant in the super market....so I am making egg plant parm with linguini. I don't think my dear partner likes the eggplant parm so I will also do a couple of Italian sausages and green pepper for him. I also got buttery boston lettuce, tomato, sweet V. onion for salad.

Tonight is BBQ night---if it doesn't rain of course! Got a couple of nice looking rib-eye steaks yesterday. Add a couple of baked potatoes and a nice green salad and dinner will be done. If it rains it will be pasta with pesto sauce, garlic toast and a green salad---also good!! We need the rain more then the steaks so which ever it is I'm ok with it!
