I don't remember who it was but there was a chef on the food network that refers to the broiler as an upside down grill.

Morning all, tonight for dinner no idea. Cleaning the house so that when we leave on vacation it won't be an utter disaster area when we get back. Yuck, so not what I want to do today....

I am thinking maybe lemon pepper chicken as I have a ton of lemons that are ripe and I need to use them up. Or maybe lemon picata (haven't had that in a while. Do you think capers are essential to the dish because I don't have any)

Thanks, I really don't want to run to the store today. The stores here have been packed lately and its a nightmare to drive anywhere. We are close to the mall, yuck I have a feeling that we will be trapped in our neighborhood in about two weeks. Traffic everywhere.

ETA never know we were in a recession by the parking lots at our mall....

Yes, the broiler is your upside down grill!! I think Alton Brown taught me that.

One of the beauties of the steak taco is it's a good way to use a less expensive cut of meat and really let it shine. I wouldn't tacofy a ribeye. With a nice piece of beef like that, less [fuss] is more. But yes, most days I'd rather have the tacos!! Y'all got me!
I agree about the tacos. Ribeye is to tasty for that but I am leaning to the fajita. Maybe portabella mushroom and cook the sliced steak quickly so that it's nice and med-rare.

I like the capers (I keep them in the freezer) h takes them off his chicken doesn't like them at all. You can leave out the capers w/o affecting the flavor.
