Broiled, rib lamb chops for tonight, with sides of fresh, sweet, white corn on the cob and broccoli crowns. Fruit salad as an appetizer, with cantaloupe, green grapes, watermelon and sliced, sweet bartlet pears. Somehow we managed to have some Kahlua ice cream pie left, so that will be for dessert.

My DH will not eat lamb of any kind. So my treat when we go out is rack of lamb.

I have missed all of the excitement today! You all had so much fun it seems... Congrats to everyone for all of the fun and daily doses of food thoughtfulness... that is a lot of postings! So is it Margaritaville at Cyn's? Is that the plan? I would totally be there if hubby weren't out of town this week darn it all.... Tonight is movie and a pizza... Girls Night The PJ's will be on as soon as my first grader gets off the bus and the movies will be lined up, pizza will be ordered, popcorn popped, sleeping bags layed out, pillows ready... lights, camera, action... until bedtime. This is what I do with my girls when hubby is away. We are all exhausted from our weekend anyway- really all we want to do is just relax. So, it is a perfect night for it.... Enjoy Kahunaville At Cyn's... wish I could participate...LOL

Boy is it good to be back. I guess that I have missed a lot in 2 weeks, it would take me days to go back to all of the posts I have missed. I hope that everyone has been well, and I send hugs to all who had to be in the middle of Ike. I certainly pray you all get the help you dearly need.

I have been catching up on food shopping, cooking and getting the house ready for fall, although this weekend hit 91 both days. High 80's and cloudy today.

Yesterday was Rigatoni with homemade sauce and meatballs, chicken Marsala, Italian salad and garlic bread. I made enough for leftovers to eat for the end of the week. Tonight will either be Italian meatloaf, roasted Yukon gold potatoes and baby peas, or Swedish Meatballs with egg noodles, no scrape that, I forgot to buy the egg noodles, so the meatballs will go into the freezer when they are done.

Have a blessed night. kelsie
