Make it a good one Lacey....Don't ask why I'm up after such a short night...I had nothing to do with my mom falling or whatever...Waiting on details.. Headed that way...taking her to her doc as soon as she gets and appointment...No pray tell what is the ER for.....

So dinner is completely on hold until I know where I will be....bruise or break it is not going to be good for sure.

I've seen her. Taking her to a walk-in soon...Not as bad as what I had envisioned. She can't make a fist...Other than that I can't see anything...She can't use her cane or walker...

Cabbage is on the shopping list while I'm out today...Corned beef and cabbage with cornbread is a possible dinner...

Oh, sending hugs your way, Noma, both for you and your mom. You don't need ANOTHER thing to worry about, dear friend. Hope it's something minor that can be quickly put right. And I hope that Mom is able to stay more steady on her feet from now on.

Noma, sending prayers your moms way!! Hope you will both be doing good today my friend! Hopefully she is just bruised.
Debsi, look at you girl! Way to go.
Amber, I am counting down the days too!! I can hardly wait. Now I have to get this house in order.
Dinner was totally changed last night. We ended up having some breaded, baked talapia with wild grain rice and green beans. Tonight we will either have the spaghetti or ravioli...not sure yet! I will have garlic toast and a salad with which ever one we decide to have.
I had to laugh yesterday Lacey....At the grocery store I found those Special K crackers and bought them. I thought this will be easy as I looked at the pics of the crackers on the front of the box. They looked like big crackers. Ha! They are so little I could probably eat half the box. You must have really got some control Lacey. They are very tasty but only 17---probably not gonna happen! But it's a start. As I said earlier I have never had to diet before and have no clue how to do it. I'm better at just not eating anything but without smoking that is soooooooooo hard to do.

Hey Cyn you can do it girl! But a few pounds on you wouldn't hurt. I guess my being so anal helps me keep it to the 17!!! LOL.

Mr. L wants lobster scampi over linguine-so that's it for tonight. I tried to convince him he really wants fettucine allfredo!!!!

Good Morning everybody! Thank you for all the well wishes.

I am dragging DH to the grocery store (maybe 2 stores) with me tonight so no cooking. You know I worked last weekend and missed getting to cook. So this way I will have the kitchen all ready on Saturday for a good weekend cook-a-thon. My evil plan is to bring him to the regular market where the bank is and get most of the stuff, and then talk him into going to El Rancho (I'm eying the 1.77/lb marinated skirt steak) where we can also get a dinner of 8 El Pastor Tacos for $10, you know, the little pork tacos with onion and cilantro on them. That should be enough to mollify him over the second market but we'll see.
