skbs glad diva doesn't have strep hopefully and you are on the mend.
Nomad I have to admit hot dogs and mashed potatoes doesn't sound appealing to me but enjoy..................... At first your post was right after skbs using hot dogs for crawfish I thought you were going fishing.
axi yes post it in the pie thread but it was answered in here too. I know restaurants use powdered bases in a lot of their cream pies so try banana pudding.
All you folks that don't know what to have tonight come on over we have plenty of leftovers.

My wife's aunt makes a killer banana pie using a combo of banana pudding and cool whip. Then you can top it with real whipped cream...Now I need one....
What I'm desperate to find is jello coconut cream pudding..No one seems to be stocking it now....Wandering if it has been taken off the market?
You guys are giving me deja vu. I think when I first started writing on the food thread, it was because I had gone to someone's house with a home made lemon merangue, and a home made apple pie. All anyone ate was some slop made with bananas, pudding and vanilla waffers. It's like nobody recognizes quality anymore.
This being said, Rocco Despirito turned me on to Creme brulee made with Jello vanilla pudding, vanilla bean and raw sugar, which I plan on trying. I'm being sucked into the dark side.
yah baby, I been working on my pina coladas since 4:00!
Isn't there a law against posting under the influence?
